Evandro Mancha Menezes
Two days of driving. Desolation. Decay. Old stones and older beliefs. We drove north. All the things that I thought were true, were not. Discovery and revelation. Friendship doesn’t really exist sometimes. It is only use and misuse. Dirty town. I’ve been in this place before. A lonely parade cavorts at the border. They try and sell the same useless things. The fences fell behind us as we crossed into the United States. Arriving in San Marcos at Jonathan’s, he asked about my trip. Words were like stones in my throat. I held my tongue. There is a long shadow on the sun.

We drove to Mancha’s vert ramp. Leo, Mancha and Jonathan rode. I sat on the deck and took photographs. Content. Relief washed over me in an awesome way. Real people. Revealed. Dusk poured over us. The shadows were a welcome sight. It’s enough that I am waiting in the dark… Skate- Ozzie
