TA - moments before we were found out and asked to leave immediately.

Tony Alva and I were doing some interview work for the William Sharp book project today. We met up and drove out into the desert. Flying Lotus   ‘Until the Quiet Comes’  was playing on the CD player. We talked about Stacy Peralta’s son - Austin and his recent death. He played keyboards on the Flying Lotus CD. He was magical. We made our way toward the desert gem. After a few hours in the car, we wanted to look at it and maybe roll around…  there was no real plan. Upon arrival, we saw a bit of water in and we decided to drain it and grab a few grinds. Stretch our legs. We bucketed. It was cold. After finishing, we toweled the pool down. We were walking out as they were walking in. ‘They’ happened to be the new owners and they weren’t very happy to see us. We explained our presence and were summarily ejected from the game. “Please don’t come back…” was one of the last things I heard. It was too good to be true. Desert gem = no more. We drove away comforted in the knowledge that we had a really awesome session on New Years Day and we had been allowed to leave today with only a stern warning… we live to fight another day.
