El Gato Classic / Vert Demo

Tony Hawk and his friends came out to the El Gato Classic and paid tribute to the Hester Series and Gold Cup era skaters. Tony brought out his vert ramp and the Palm Springs High School parking lot was quickly covered by a huge crowd of anxious onlookers. Tony Hawk took the microphone and spoke of Eddie’s early influence on his own skateboarding and the progression of vertical skateboarding in general.

An amazing vert demonstration ensued shortly after as El Gato, Caballero, Hawk, Staab, Lincoln Ueda, Neal Hendrix, Tom Scharr, Christian Hosoi and Evan all tore it up for the skate fans. It was an epic display of skateboarding ability and a perfect end to the daytime activities of the El Gato Classic. Thanks to Tony Hawk for bringing his ramp and thank you to MRZ for the images.
