Huntington Beach, California. Her name is Sabrina. She'd been in the old house for over nine years. She had been there for so long, she hardly remembered anything else. Time means very little during prosperity, but let life kick everything sideways and it will quickly change the situation. Time becomes an enemy. The long wait for nothing. Watch the sun crawl across the sky. Another night. A lonely dawn. The property had been kept in good repair. The pool surface had been damaged by chemicals though. A few years back, Sabrina had the surface repaired. She spent a great deal of money having a fiberglass shell installed on the pools surface. Then came the downturn. Job loss. Financial strife. A government that neither noticed or cared. The American ream.

The story is familiar. Peanut found the pool one afternoon. Green and black water. He started draining it. He didn’t know it, but Sabrina was on her way home and would catch him in the act. Sabrina was unhappy and police intervention was considered. Peanut offered quick financial compensation. In her current situation, it was hardly an offer that Sabrina could refuse. After all, he seemed like a pretty nice guy… They struck a deal and he got back to the job of water removal. The transitions revealed themselves. Stellar. The sessions soon began in earnest. There was one rule: bring your wallet. If you wanted to play, you had to pay.

Sabrina has been helped by us and we by her. We stop by and skate. She worries less about eating and taking care of things. Life tied the knots, now we undo them. It’s a symbiotic relationship. We need each other. The pool is great. The sessions are mellow. We have no need to hurry or stress. There are no uniforms that will be appearing to hassle us and take more from us than they already try and take. Sabrina is pretty cool. She doesn’t really seem to understand skating… but she does understand our need. She has hers and we have ours. The two meet. It is a good thing. Thanks to Peanut for doing what was necessary. Thanks Cam and Wong. Thank you to MRZ. Skate- Ozzie
